Hey there, wellness warrior! I’m Samantha Teague, a Primal Health Coach. Before we dive in, I’m not a doctor, and this isn’t medical advice.
Welcome back for another 5-minute shot of primal motivation. Today, we’re talking about something that might sound creepy, but it’s WAY more common than you think – parasites.
Here’s the truth: We get exposed to parasites constantly. That sushi you love? Swimming in lakes? Unwashed produce? Even your pets. Parasites enter our system and set up camp, creating systemic inflammation that affects EVERYTHING.
Think of it like having invisible roommates who eat your groceries, leave trash everywhere, and mess with your thermostat. These microscopic squatters can live in your intestines for years, affecting your hormones, nutrient absorption, and cellular energy production.

RLT boosts mitochondrial function and ATP production, literally giving your immune cells more energy to fight invaders. Plus, it increases blood flow and supports lymphatic drainage – helping your body naturally clear out parasites and their toxins. Think of it as charging your body’s internal army to fight the microscopic battle within.

So how exactly do these unwelcome guests mess with your body?
First, they steal nutrients – the building blocks your metabolism needs. Iron, B12, protein – parasites feast on these, leaving you with deficiency symptoms. Your thyroid slows down because it lacks the nutrients to make hormones effectively.
They also release toxins as waste products, triggering chronic inflammation that signals your body to store fat for protection. Plus, they can disrupt your gut microbiome, affecting serotonin production (which impacts mood and appetite) and even your insulin sensitivity.
Bottom line: When parasites party in your system, your metabolism pays the bill.
Now, let’s talk symptoms – because they’re not what you might expect.
Sure, bloating and digestive issues are common. But chronic fatigue? Brain fog? Unexplained weight gain despite eating clean? These are classic signs. Some people get skin problems, mysterious allergies, or insomnia.
Others experience sugar cravings (parasites love sugar) or feel worse when they try to eat healthy (parasites can make you crave the junk they thrive on). If your energy feels like it’s being drained by something invisible to the naked eye, it might literally be.
Here’s the frustrating part about testing…
Most standard stool tests miss parasite infections. Why? These tests typically look for ONE sample, but many parasites are shed intermittently. Plus, they can be microscopic – you most likely won’t see visible worms being expelled.
That two-day stool sample your doctor ordered? It’s like checking your mailbox once and assuming no one ever sends you mail.
So what can you actually DO about all this?
Here’s your action plan:
STEP 1: Download my free Parasites Mini Coaching Module that guides you through detection, prevention, and both holistic and conventional treatment options. You’ll learn the optimal times of the month to cleanse (hint: it’s tied to moon cycles for a reason).
STEP 2: Check out my 4-Step Parasite Plan in my dispensary – it covers everything from detection protocols to specific supplements that can help.
And here’s something interesting: Sometimes parasites can actually be beneficial, helping our immune system stay active and preventing autoimmune issues when they’re in balance. The goal isn’t necessarily elimination of all parasites – it’s about creating a body environment where they can’t overgrow and cause problems.
Remember, if you’re doing everything right but still feeling like garbage, consider that something might be taking the fruits of your labor. Sometimes getting healthy means evicting unwelcome tenants.
Get the testing, share the protocol with your functional doctor, and see if clearing these invisible freeloaders helps you reclaim your energy.
Until next time, this is Primal Sam reminding you that sometimes the smallest things have the biggest impact on your health! I’ll see you for 5 minutes next time!
