Hey there! I’m Samantha Teague, Primal Health Coach. Before we dive in, I’m not a doctor, and this isn’t medical advice.
Welcome back for another 5-minute shot of motivation. Today, let’s talk about something that might be staring back at you in the mirror – those persistent wrinkles that expensive cream can’t seem to touch.
Most skin aging is happening FROM WITHIN. When you’ve got chronic inflammation, your body is kinda slow-cooking your collagen, elastin, and other structural proteins that keep your skin firm and supple.
The culprits behind this inflammatory aging?
First, there’s circadian disruption – when you’re scrolling at night or working under artificial lights all day, you’re throwing off hormonal rhythms that repair your skin.
Then there’s non-native electromagnetic frequencies from our devices, creating oxidative stress at a cellular level.
Dehydration is another silent ager. Not just “drink more water”, but the inability of inflamed tissues to properly utilize that water.
And insufficient natural sunlight! Your skin needs specific wavelengths from natural light to trigger repair processes that no serum can replicate.

Let’s talk about your circadian rhythm first.
Your skin cells have their own internal clocks that determine when repair happens, when inflammation gets addressed, and when collagen gets built. When these clocks get confused by artificial light patterns, your repair processes break down.
The simplest fix? Red light therapy for 5 minutes a day during sunrise. This wavelength signals to your cells “it’s morning!” in a language your mitochondria understand, resetting those cellular clocks.
Now about fixing that dehydration issue – it’s about creating “exclusion zone,” or EZ, water in your cells. This fourth phase of water has a gel-like consistency that holds structure in your cells and tissues.
One easy way to increase your body’s EZ water?
Exposure to near-infrared light – exactly what quality red light therapy devices provide! This structured water is what gives young skin its plumpness and resilience. No cream can replicate this internal hydration.
Then there’s nnEMF exposure we’re all swimming in. Your skin cells are particularly vulnerable because they’re your outer barrier. When bombarded with unnatural frequencies, cell communication is disrupted and inflammation skyrockets.
Two easy protective steps:
First, put your WiFi router on a timer that turns it off while you sleep. Your skin’s repair processes happen primarily during deep sleep, and they’ll be far more effective without nnEMF interference.
Second, keep your phone in airplane mode whenever it’s not actively in use, especially if it’s near your face or in your pocket.
These small changes can create a positive shift in your internal environment – setting the stage for repair – rather than just masking damage with expensive products.
Now for some practical solutions you can start using now:
Red light therapy has been a game-changer for myself and for my clients to help reverse aging. Red and near-infrared wavelengths penetrate deeply to stimulate mitochondria. Regular sessions with a quality device can increase collagen production by up to 30% in just 8 weeks.
And while I’m not a fan of Botox (a literal toxin), there are peptide alternatives that work similarly but more gently. Specifically, topical Snap-8 is a peptide that subtly limits the muscle contractions that cause expression lines – a Botox-like but softer mechanism but that doesn’t freeze your face into a mask.
Then there’s topical GHK-Cu, or copper peptide that dramatically accelerates skin repair and collagen synthesis. The research on this one is impressive – remodeling aging skin architecture to a more youthful pattern.
So what can you actually DO about all this?
First, check out the Therasage Tri-Lite mat and use affiliate code PRIMALSAM to save 10% – it’s the exact high quality red light device I use on my own face and neck. Flexible, portable, and properly calibrated wavelengths make it worth every penny.
But even more exciting – I’ve created a DIY peptide serum recipe that combines both Snap-8 and GHK-Cu for a fraction of what you’d pay for premium skincare. I’m talking about 1/3 of the cost for your own ingredients compared to a commercial serum that would cost you $160 or more.

Remember, true beauty isn’t about masking problems.
It’s about creating an internal environment where your body can repair itself. When you address inflammation at the root, your skin becomes a reflection of your inner health!
Until next time, this is Primal Sam reminding you that sometimes your wrinkles aren’t trying to ruin your selfies – they’re trying to tell you something important about what’s happening inside!
