Paleo AIP Lovebird Cereal Review

Y’ALL, this Paleo AIP Lovebird Cereal makes me feel like a kid again, so I HAD to review it for you just in case you haven’t heard about it yet or if you are on the fence about buying a pack.

*pauses to crunch and slurp*

Parker from Lovebird was a total gem and sent me a trio pack of their AIP, grain-free, Paleo, and low-sugar cereal “o’s” to taste test – and LET ME TELL YOU…

I hadn’t had a bowl of boxed cereal in years and as soon as I took my first bite of Paleo AIP Lovebird Cereal it brought back memories of sitting at the breakfast counter before getting on the school bus – chomping away while Mom and Dad got ready for work.

pin it 2021

Nostalgia + Flavor

My homemade 35-Minute Cashew Milk was my dairy-free choice to float my Lovebird o’s.

But you could also use this homemade Tigernut Milk or additive-free coconut milk like Aroy-D if you need to keep it 100% AIP compliant.

I tried the Cinnamon Lovebird flavor first and instantly thought of a combo of Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but without the massive sugar-crammed rush or the addictive side effect of grains.

Crunchability + Mildly Sweet

Since currently I’m doing keto for women during the day with a carb-up at night, I used this as my evening carb up. It was nice to not have to cook my carbs for once!

Paleo AIP Lovebird Cereal also has Honey and Unsweetened varieties that are SO GOOD. The Honey flavor has just a hint of sweetness (similar to the cinnamon flavor’s level of sweet), and the Unsweetened is a lovely way to enjoy a bowl of cereal without any added sweetness. Sometimes you are just in the mood for plain-jane, so the Unsweetened one is the way to go if that is up your alley!

This cereal stayed crunchier in the centers than any conventional cereal I’ve ever tried! In fact I was able to photograph the cereal in milk (which took about 15 minutes) and then fully enjoy a still-crunchable serving!

Even Hunni commented, “It stays so crunchy!”

I’m a Lifelong Fan!

My favorite out of the 3 is definitely the cinnamon, but I will be buying more of the 3-flavors pack because I like to change it up.

Though this is an affiliated post, I truly wanted to give you my full and honest opinion about Lovebird. I hands-down recommend this cereal-free cereal because of the quality, the crunch, and the feel-goods it brings about when you pour a bowl.

I only endorse products that i wholeheartedly believe in, and I adore when new small companies bud and bring us cozy products that can make our hearts fuller (and our guts healthier) one bite at a time.

11/10 – would recommend Lovebird. *crunch and slurp*

My favorite childhood memory before school was watching some MTV music videos! I specifically remember watching Spice Girl’s Two Become One video and Shania Twain’s Man I Feel Like A Woman. I loved seeing the visual interpretation of some of my favorite songs to hear on the radio!

We didn’t get ceral very much as a child so it was always extra special when we did. I remember the cold milk, the crunchy ceral and all that sugar bursting in my mouth. We would sit on our porch floor and savour every bite. There wasn’t much talking between my sister’s and I because it was so special.

My favorite childhood memory before school is definitely carpooling to get to school with my friends, and getting to walk in with them rather than by myself! It was also fun when one of our moms would take us to get donuts on Fridays!! After a while though, they got too sugary for me haha!

My favorite memory before school was watching Saved by the Bell and eating toaster streudals! My diet has changed a lot since then 🙂

I really don’t have a favorite memory but I remember always having Cheerios or oatmeal for breakfast if we had it. Mostly we had school breakfast. We were pretty poor. One time I had to use water instead of milk. It was yucky 🤢

My favorite before-school childhood memories always started at the breakfast table. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and cereal has always been my favorite food. Until I started developing food intolerances, I could eat cereal for every meal of the day!

My favorite childhood before-school memory are those days when my mom and I would visit the small local gas-station before she would drop me off at school. She’d always make her very sugary and creamy coffee at the back, and I’d take my time picking out a doughnut for breakfast at the front. The doughnuts were from a local black-owned business that our family always loved and supported, and my go-to’s always had to be the frosted and sprinkled doughnuts or the twists! The plain glaze came to a close third, that’s how amazing they were. Then I’d pick out a small Sunny-D and mom and I would eat our breakfast in the car (not-safe I know!) so that she wasn’t TOO late for work. That was always a special time for us, and even though I can’t eat those doughnuts anymore, I can still taste them whenever I enter a gas station and pass those plastic glass cases.

In the moment this wasn’t fun, but looking back it makes me laugh. I was constantly losing something, usually my shoes and then missing the bus while looking for them. But one day when I did actually make the bus, I forgot my back pack at home. 😂 I must’ve been in 3rd grade, and I still remember getting off the bus and realizing what I’d done.

My favorite before school memory was on days we had delayed openings for snow and we would get to do pancakes!! We would go shovel outside with my dad and then come inside and dad would make what he called silver dollar pancakes because they were small

My favorite memory is waking up early in the morning before school and sitting on the heater with a blanket and a bowl of cereal hahaha

My favorite memory before school was having waffles and watching cartoons. When I got older my brother drove me to middle school and we use to take the long way to school, it was so fun

My favorite before school memory has nothing to do with food. It is actually watching my brother. We lived in NJ and he went to the Marine Academy of Scoen6and Technology. It was in its first year, and us a navel school. I used to watch him practice marching, his left, right, and about face. I’d watch him salute. Some uniform days, as they weren’t daily then, it was a quick touch up of whatever part of his uniform wasn’t up to snuff. I. He was 14, I was 11, and he seemed so grown up, yet he was somehow still my irritated brother. I couldn’t wait to apply to get in so I could be just like him.

My grandpa would wake me up in sing-song fashion ‘Rise and shine, Morning Glory’. I would make Cheerios and dump sugar on them lol. My grandpa and I would sit and talk before he drove me to school on his motorcycle.

Looks delicious! I’ve wanted to try Lovebird for a while now. I definitely loved being out on nature walks before school because it was so beautiful. And, of course, eating cereal. 😉

My favorite childhood memory before school was around one of my first birthdays and a neighbor of ours turned his hose on to freeze the street. all the kids on my street took our trash can tops and rode down the frozen hill. it’s so funny how, as a child, i never thought anyone would notice i was younger (not realizing i had a tiny sub-adult body lol).

My fave childhood memory was driving with my parents to the beach with all of our guinea pigs on the back shelf of the car, me n my sister eating cereal out of the box, secretly slipping some of it to the animals!

  • Jessica

My favorite before school childhood memory was watching “adventures in wonderland” while my mom did my hair… in a half up braid situation (totally rad!)… and eating a pop tart haha.

  • Amanda

There was a time when I was young that my dad was single. That didn’t stop him from making sure my world was in order, though! He would make fresh squeezed orange juice (without a juicer), toast and jelly with some type of eggs. Sure, the toast was often burnt and the eggs we’re a little too done….but it was something my daddy did for me and that was everything. Filled me up better than any food could have 🙂

  • Michele

I loved eating breakfast with my grandparents on the dark winter mornings. We would have instant oatmeal or cold cereal. I like the ones that taste like cinnamon.

  • Sara E Hart

My favorite memory is when my mom would drive me to school. We’d stop and get powdered donuts and a chocolate milk on the way 🙂

  • Cia Campbell

My dad made the most wonderfully dreadful toast. It was barely beyond raw white bread, only slightly warm with huge chunks of hard margarine smooshed randomly into the bread. I hated it. I’d still hate it but am feeling nostalgic for the time we spent ( me: mostly complaining about the toast) before he went off to work and I went off to school.

  • April Polichette

My favorite before school childhood memory was watching MTV and VH1 videos while eating cereal or French toast. I was a carb addict, and these were my favorite breakfasts!

  • Polly

My not so favorite before school memory was having to creep down a huge staircase through the woods to the street below where I waited for the bus! I always worried it would leave without me! We took the shortcut so we could eat our Frosted Flakes or fruit loops longer at home! Mom would put the milk in a cow shaped creamer so we could pour our own milk!!

  • Carla Derr

My favorite before-school memory is eating cereal while watching cartoons with my brothers. We ate pretty junky ones back then… So grateful for these new ones! I’ve really been missing cereal on an AIP diet.

  • Heather

Love this idea! I’m soooo wanting this cereal!

Fave memory, it’s silly, but getting dressed early so I could sit and watch reruns of Giligan’a Island! 🙈 I would also sneak in a In Living Color if I had time. Bahaha I had a broad range. 😂
